April 1-30, 2005 Museum Begins Daily Schedule
The Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum begins its daily schedule through October 31st. Museum hours 10:00am–4:00pm. Admission is $3/adults, $1/children under 12, and free to CFFCM members. For more information, contact the museum at 845-439-4810 or email flyfish@catskill.net.

April 1-30, 2005 Currently on Exhibit: Flies from New Zealand
Take a look at the artistry of New Zealand fly tyers in the second in the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum’s series of international exhibits exploring the work of contemporary fly tyers. Work by 25 of the country’s best tyers, accompanied by landscape photography and selected New Zealand fishing ephemera and first editions, is on display through October 31st. April 1-30, 2005 Currently on Exhibit: Roland Harriman: Banker and Fly Fisherman
While his brother Averell made his mark in politics, Roland Harriman spent his life in banking. But both brothers valued nature, inspired by their father Edward who believed “leave whatever you touch better for having touched it.” The Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum recently received a selection of Roland Harriman’s personal fishing collection, along with materials related to the establishment of Harriman State Park in Idaho. These items will be on display through December 31st. Admission is $3/adults, $1/children under 12, and free to CFFCM members. April 1, 2005 Opening Day of NYS Trout Season at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum
Opening day of New York State’s trout season begins at Junction Pool in Roscoe, NY with the first cast around 7:30 a.m. After fishing for a few hours, join other anglers and friends at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum for a cup of hot soup courtesy of the museum and local legend, Agnes Van Put. Opening Day is a traditional event of fellowship and the museum welcomes you to join us from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is $3/adults, $1/children under 12, and free to CFFCM members. April 1, 2005 CFFCM Guest Fly Tyer: Floyd Franke
Floyd Franke, author of Fish On: A Guide to Playing and Landing Big Fish on a Fly [2003] and instructor at the Wulff School of Fly Fishing, will open the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum’s 2005 series of guest fly tyers at the museum. Franke will be demonstrating his techniques from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $3/adults, $1/children under 12, and free to CFFCM members. April 2, 2005 A Celebration of Poul Jorgensen’s Life at CFFCM
Join the fly fishing community to celebrate and pay tribute to tribute to the “World’s Greatest Fly Tyer,” Poul Jorgensen. At 11:30 a.m., CFFCM members, visitors, and guests will gather in the museum to celebrate Jorgensen’s life. A multimedia presentation by award-winning videographer, Jimmy Ienner, Jr. will be previewed, followed by guest speakers. The program will culminate in a moment of silence and the casting of feathers into the wind from the museum’s balcony. At 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, before CFFCM closes for the day, join the fly fishing community in a new event: the first annual Opening Day Blind Fly Tying contest featuring CFFCM members. April 9, 2005 Fly Tying Class with CFTG

Volunteers will gather at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum parking lot at 9:00 a.m. to help clean up winter debris, repair damage to Project Access pathways, and do stream bank stabilization plantings.
