Currently on Exhibit: Flies from New Zealand |
Take a look at the artistry of New Zealand fly tyers in the second in the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum’s series of international exhibits exploring the work of contemporary fly tyers. Work by 25 of the country’s best tyers, accompanied by landscape photography and selected New Zealand fishing ephemera and first editions, is on display through December 31 st. Roland Harriman: Banker and Fly Fisherman |
While his brother Averell made his mark in politics, Roland Harriman spent his life in banking. But both brothers valued nature, inspired by their father Edward who believed "leave whatever you touch better for having touched it." The Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum recently received a selection of Roland Harriman's personal fishing collection, along with materials related to the establishment of Harriman State Park in Idaho. These items will be on display through December 31st. Admission is $3/adults, $1/children under 12, and free to CFFCM members. Introduction to Spey Casting |
Philip Krista will teach the art of traditional spey casting at this one-day class limited to 5 participants. Tuition is $225/CFFCM members and $250/non-members and includes meals and overnight accommodations. For more information, contact the museum at 845-439-4810 or email flyfish@catskill.net.

Family Fishing Weekend |
Weekend program for adults and children ages 8-17 where they will be introduced to environmental education and conservation, as well as learn the basics of fly fishing. Limited to 20 participants, the cost is $75/child and $125/adult and includes meals and optional overnight accommodations.
