2nd Annual Cane Rod School (June 20-24, 2005)
CFFCM will be conducting the 2nd annual Cane Rod Makers School during the week of June 20-24, 2005. This is a unique opportunity to learn from the best and create a cane rod to use and cherish for years to come! Instructors for this year’s program are: Ron Barch, Dave Van Burgel and Kathy Scott, Art Port, and Bill Harms. All tools and materials are provided for you. Tuition for the class is $1,300 per person [CFFCM members receive $100 discount] which includes all materials and tools, sleeping accommodations in the Education Dormitory, breakfast & lunch daily, and written materials on the rods to be created. Evening fishing in the Willowemoc – the museum’s front yard – is encouraged as the hatches are at their peak during the week class is in session. Students also have the option of staying on through the weekend after class to fish the many Catskill rivers at our doorstep.
If you are interested in this year’s program, reserve your space with a minimum deposit of $250 with the balance due on June 6th. Please note that participation is limited to 8 students. For additional information, contact CFFCM at 845-439-4810 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
